Wouldn’t it makes more sense to take it then once you’re already blind? Then there’s less risk of blindness technically

Bazzite@lemmy.world•Error when trying to install Bazzite specifically
2·11 days agoI’ve known about nobara but the lack of stability makes me nervous, since this PC is for someone who has never used Linux

Bazzite@lemmy.world•Error when trying to install Bazzite specifically
5·11 days agoOh no, that’s what I feared most. It’s the only used part.
I do luckily have another I can test it with, but before I swap it and take it out - would plugging into the motherboard HDMI still cause the problem if it’s the GPU?

Bazzite@lemmy.world•Error when trying to install Bazzite specifically
1·11 days agoThanks everyone, will try updating the bios and see if that works. I really hope it does .
Edit: Didn’t work. Same error. Didn’t have high hopes since when I looked, I saw the bios firmware wasn’t too old - January 2025 - but yeah… I’m not sure what else to try next…

Bazzite@lemmy.world•Error when trying to install Bazzite specifically
1·11 days agoIn can’t across this too but wasn’t sure if it applied since Bazzite is based on Fedora but not Arch and isn’t Hyperland. The irony being the Garuda Linux version I used for testing did install and is based on Arch (but is Wayland).
Still, will be updating bios

2·1 month agoYes but you have to find the now kinda rare used NVLink ideally
Thanks for everyone’s help. Figured out I didn’t need the second Switch, just needed a router that had at least 2 LAN connections.
Thanks everyone. I tried ZimaOS (since apparently that’s what CasaOS is now?) but had issues figuring out the -arr services.
Currently trying YunoHost now, though for some reason it says my GMKtec G9 has a MMC/Micro SD?
I’ve seen the chart, but the problem is I don’t understand the point of some of the things in the chart. The installation instructions are also kind of lacking since I don’t understand Docker well, but it just says to install Cosmos via Docker. I could take a couple of days to learn all this and sacrifice my limited family time, for something I think has a potential benefit, or I could just install one of the other two.
If those features are extremely useful and important, then yes, I’ll have to learn it and I guess that makes Cosmos the best choice. If they’re not really needed, then I guess I should pick one of the other two.
Mostly I’ll be running Jellyfish, file storage and retrieval, and eventually probably something for Valetudo in the future. Also considering putting Waydroid in there somehow to run Stube on the TV as well. But would all those features be incredibly important to have something like Cosmos then?
Somewhere on Lemmy someone said it came out that it was Revolt.tv
But yeah, I honestly would constantly type Revolut instead of Revolt before, so that was my guess before too.
I think I’ll be heavily looking into this then! Thanks
You can connect Matrix with Signal?

4·2 months agoBut is it necessary? I’d rather focus more on the tdp.
I know I could just boost the tdp of the n150 if I did want more power, but I see people here running stuff on 10 year old laptops and older Intel n series stuff seemingly without a problem.

1·2 months agoI read somewhere on here that you need a full HomeAssistantOS for Matter/Thread support along with support for a few other things btw. Can’t find anything looking it up myself about what exactly they meant - is that true?
These are 100% organic free range bamboo rats though.
I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I forgot to specify that some were Nintendo Switches, the console

Of course; he’s the other kind of plant. Mycelium is neither.
