Lol. We actually chose to live here. You’ve got to admit, it looks beautiful.
Cool. You know you can make tequila from them, eh?
Thanks. Interesting looking things. Are the bushy structures flowers?
They certainly recycle.
You mean the big jail? Doesn’t your country have jails?

21·3 months agoWe’re back home now, but it was a great month. Friendly people. Small country so it’s not hard to see everything. At lower altitudes, it was hot during the day but it always cooled off at night which made for lovely morning, evenings, and sleeps. Always felt safe.

1·3 months agoThey called it Santa Ana Laguna. Laguna has a number of definitions in Spanish, one of them is lake. This, to me, is too small to qualify as a lake. Perhaps pond would be more accurate.

13·3 months agoWe didn’t wander off the trail too much. Some places, the ground was hot under our feet.

13·3 months agoIn El Salvador, they’re called ausoles.
It would be Spanish. Lavanderia, perhaps.
Yeah, I may have stretched the definition, but it was for comic effect. So it’s okay, right?
They’ve diverted some of the river water to run through a pipe along the top. It branches off with a small pipe to each section. It can be blocked off so you put the clothes in the slanted section, scrub and rinse. Each section has a drain also.

Central Ontario, Canada. Typically, the snow starts melting at the end of March and is gone by the beginning of May. There’s still a meter on the ground, but we had a lot of snow this year.
