This is the analysis of someone entirely privileged and thoroughly buffered away from reality. Who the fuck has ever made the argument that they are worried about society running out of work to be done? That is not a concern on anybody’s mind.

We’re all afraid of what the current government is willing to allow happen to any temporarily displaced worker - many of us who are already living paycheck to paycheck, have contemplated the possibility of eviction because we’ve already been close enough to it, or have used klarna to buy groceries.

The author does not understand the scale of modern poverty, the scope of real survival dangers threatening a modern population, and is engaging in the favorite conservative boomer passtime of shouting advice to the poors out of their ivory tower, faiing to recognize the nature of the ivory tower itself as it shifts and evolves over time.

Author doesn’t talk about the huge amounts of electricity needed to run all dataceters and the impact on the environs. There’s no jobs if there is no planet!
