The claim here is ‘it’s impossible to have machine intelligence with zero specialisation’. Sure, but that’s not what people are talking about with AGI LeCun has been saying this for years: LeCun prefers the term “Advanced Machine Intelligence” (AMI) over “Artificial General Intelligence” (AGI), pointing out that even human intelligence is highly specialized LeCun proposed a shift in focus towards what he calls Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI), moving away from the term Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). It’s just a semantic argument.
