    Hi all!

    I have one outstanding thing from my request for help a while back, which is that I’d like to replace the instance icon with something better.

    Anyone got art skills and willing to make us an icon?

    This is the best I could come up with lol

    lemmy icon coloured green with lighter lines to make it look like a kiwifruit, with brown around the outside like the colour of the outside of a kiwifruit

    Also if there is anyone with skills in the communications area, it would be good to have some eyes across some new content we’re putting together to help with explaining Lemmy and the Fediverse to make sure it’s plain English, easy to understand.

        This was what I got. I wanted to make the lemmy a kiwi but turns out kiwi’s are nearly impossible to draw head on. A side on lazer kiwi with gumboots and a silver fern bucket hat was my vision but I lacked the artistic skills to bring it to life in inkscape.

          Haha nice!

          People always rave about inkscape, but I am always so completely lost. Like If I want to draw a hat I have no idea how to even start making something that shape. I should probably do a tutorial or two.

          I remember that’s what it was like when I first started learning GIMP so I guess it’s just that steep learning curve to even be able to do the most basic things.

            I think the current icon is better. I unfortunately dont have the artistic skills to bring my vision to life.

      I kinda like it, but mostly cos it looks so different and wonky.

        Haha I was going for a sort of kiwifruit lemmy, but all I got was this lemmy that might not live through the night.
