If the trial does not succeed, that would be a very sad Flowers for Algernon situation.

Super interesting. I wonder how well it’s replicated and I wonder how long it’ll last. Even maybe reaching that first level of reversal and then microdosing so they’re not tripping, just keeping the clarity

Hahaha, I wasn’t expecting the future to be elderly people walking around high as kites :D but sounds fun

If I had a clue how to acquire & use them, I wouldn’t mind giving it a try. Having wasted my life being so straight-laced & boring continues to take its toll…

You can’t grow psilocybin in most jurisdictions. It’d be foolish to even think about it.

If you want to grow culinary mushrooms like oysters, the easiest way is to get a grow bag and a spore syringe. You just inject the spores into the bag, wait for it to colonize, break it up, then wait to harvest. The grow bag will come with the basic instructions. Making your own containers and substrate is also cheap and easy, but for a beginner reducing sources of contam is worth the cost of a kit.

Now that that conversation is over, have you ever been interested in studying stuff with a microscope? You can find some pretty cool specimens out in nature, around your house, or even order them online. One that I’ve heard looks really cool is psilocybin spores. You can order microscopy samples online in a lot of jurisdictions. They even come in convenient syringes that you can drip right onto a microscope slide.

Or if you prefer botany and don’t have a microscope, growing morning glory can be a fun hobby. You’ll probably want around 250 to 350 seeds, but start smaller to see how your backyard handles them. Make sure to get some without any pesticide coating because that’s bad for the environment. Etsy has some good sellers.

Just be careful that you don’t accidentally eat around 250 to 350 seeds, because they will make you very nauseous. Even worse, after the nausea subsides, you may experience psychedelic effects similar to hardcore addictive drugs like psilocybin or LSD, since the seeds contain a potent chemical called LSA.

Depending on where you live you could probably buy them or grow them yourself. Growing is easy and fun and trippy!!!

I saw spores for sale at a few places around here. They’re for “research purposes only” but they’re viable. I’d grow 'em but not sure if I’d use them. I love growing things and I wouldn’t mind growing gourmet ones, as well

More power to you… I’ve done a lot of different drugs… but shrooms and lsd are two that scare the hell out of me. My mind is fucked enough as it is without taking the leash off… I’m not sure what i would experience, but I’m almost positive I wasn’t nothing to do with it

If I ever get the opportunity to go to a licensed, experienced psychologist, and they don’t go screaming into the night, I would probably give it a shot…

It is very, very fucking funny in that Kafka kind of way that the Reaganites are responsible for this discovery being held back for so long if it pans out.

Also we should definitely hang some people for doing that 🤷‍♂️
