Do not fall into the trap of anthropomorphising Larry Ellison. You need to think of Larry Ellison the way you think of a lawnmower. You don’t anthropomorphize your lawnmower, the lawnmower just mows the lawn, you stick your hand in there and it’ll chop it off, the end. You don’t think ‘oh, the lawnmower hates me’ – lawnmower doesn’t give a shit about you, lawnmower can’t hate you. Don’t anthropomorphize the lawnmower. Don’t fall into that trap about Oracle.

How can you lose over twenty thousand employees and still have a functioning business?
They can’t. They will rehire/backfill a fraction of it back a year from now at lower salaries.
This video might help:
What does Oracle actually do?

TBH I still don’t get it, no one I know would ever use their shitty overpriced garbage database but somehow apparently it’s so entrenched in several megacorps that they pay megabucks to Oracle instead of simply moving away to a cheaper alternative
Confuses the hell out of me
So same business model as Microsoft. Same self-inflicting injury strategy too,
