    Let’s be clear here. Linux is the most used OS on the planet and has been for a long time. This is just about desktops

      Right but if we’re being honest, desktop OS are really the only one that matters. Most non tech people don’t care or know that they own 12 different stripped down Linux boxes because those boxes are tvs or roombas or whatever.

        Maybe not, but surely the clouds’ infrastructure, the webservers, and the mobile phones matter to people…

        Moreover even if the 10% is inflated, Windows falling to 57 is crazy

          Oh for sure the 10% and 57% are insane.

          But not really no. Most non tech people barely realize the cloud is someone else’s computer, nevermind thinking about what software that computer runs. Same thing with webservers. Phones are further obscured cause it’s not expressed as Linux.
