    This appears to be not a “whinger” as such, but someone who went out, collected evidence from other neighbours, presented it properly to the correct and relevant authorities, and then in due course action was taken by those authorities as a result.

    It looks like a model example of how it should be done. Framing it as “whinger shuts down fun music venue” is a bit much.

    Edit: Having said that , it seems that this individual only moved to the neighbourhood “a few years ago” and that perhaps the music venue was there first. Possibly one could then say “Buyer beware”, like if you bought a flat above a nightclub. But the fact that there were 150 signatures on the petition presented suggests that he was just the organised face of a bunch of affected people, and it’s also equally likely that the venue and its patrons could have become more of a nuisance over time.
