To my fellow brothers and sisters, if you’re looking for a VPN then the three listed on https://www.privacyguides.org/en/vpn/ are pretty good services.

Mullvad would be my top choice. They’ll let you sign up solely with an account number and cash.

Proton is 2nd or 3rd best. I still recommend them because of their Free tier. Disclaimer: Their CEO is a libertarian weirdo who is ok with Trump because Trump is also big on “personal privacy”. However the company is controlled by a board of directors who are less insane.

I’m a proton vpn user. The one CEOs sudden “pro trump” post definitely gave me pause, however I think it will be fine as I don’t think the CEO really understood trump being pro privacy from Trump’s point of view: “privacy for me but not for thee”. That’s being said, the core mission statement and operating tenants of ProtonVPN (and proton in general) fly in the face of the Trump admins actions and the rest of the executives will help keep that shit in line. they’re also not under any government pressure to cut out or disregard their privacy policies or operating tenants as the country they operate under primarily is actually pro privacy.

aside from that I will be keeping a close eye on them and jumping ship as soon as they start faltering in their mission.

Why are libertarian weirdos always so fucking stupid? How can anyone with a functioning brain look at Trump and think “well this man certainly respects your personal privacy and freedom”? How hard does someone have to get hit on the head to become a libertarian?
