I say good morning/good afternoon/good evening/hello to everyone I walk past in my local area and generally expect the same in return. Not that everyone does it or that I’m offended when they don’t, but most do and it’s a social norm in my area.
I said good morning to someone I walked past yesterday, unfortunately it was the afternoon.
I am why I cannot say nice things.
My save for others when they do that is just to be like “Morning is a state if mind” or something. It’s a common gaffe and tbh people who’s lives aren’t ruled by clocks are usually nicer.
My partner does this all the time, she’ll say good morning at 2 PM or good afternoon at 7 PM when it’s dark lol
I’m more passive. I’ll give a friendly smile so it makes it easy for them to decide to say hello or not.
I’ve noticed that every new neighbor on my street is slightly more of a recluse than the last. I feel like the only one who actually leaves my house on foot each day. Everyone else takes the car every single time.
Speaking of cars, the street has slowly become long-term storage for oversized vehicles. There was once a courtesy of leaving the street free for guests and whatnot. The ones who really take the piss (e.g. unregistered cars anchored by cobwebs) get broken windscreens.
Nobody uses their garage for cars anymore.
The garage is for storage of all the useless stuff they’ve bought and didn’t use past the first week.
They also like parking their RAM trucks and 4WDs on their front lawn to show their offroading capabilities and small penis size. But mostly just to show off their cars/trucks etc.
I’ll be honest, that sounds like a fucking nightmare.
