I need to map network shares from my Synology NAS and also from a Win11 Pro desktop. There are just so many variations on how to do this. All I need to do is map drive letters to shares on startup so they are always available.

Sorry for the noob question.

    Hi,

    Not super familiar with Synology anymore but you need to create a samba/smb share as well as a user to mount with. For windows it will be straight forward and like any other share… For Ubuntu you’d need to look into how to mount a smb share into Ubuntu. I can try to find a guide that explains it well or you can do it yourself as well if you’d like
