    Unfortunately all the microplastics from tyres will only get worse due to vehicle mass increasing

      and the brake particulates (nearly as bad) will get much less from regen braking, so swings and roundabouts…

      not an upvote for cars BTW they are horrific and we need to reduce thier use significantly but here we are, voting for Nethyendals that want to make it worse.

        IIRC most brake pads are graphite, steel, iron or copper right? The metals should break down gracefully

        I guess the US still uses asbestos so that’s pretty shit

      Only if we continue to buy absurdly large vehicles. Electric hatchbacks and sedans are lighter even with battery weight included.

      And if people won’t change on their own, then tax the vehicles based on weight.
