    I was ready to hate on this idea when I read the headline, but I don’t know, a use like this seems fine.

    I feel like the answer isn’t one or the other. Its: You can roll out this AI tool, but that doesnt change the fact that more cadet journalists are required.

      The local news briefings convert original stories written by ABC journalists for regional radio bulletins into digital briefings to make them available to online audiences across the day

      This seems like it takes away potential gateway grunt jobs for aspiring journalists, so in that sense I’m against it. I agree that it seems fine in terms of some other potential problems like the spread of misinformation - AI is generally very good at this type of work and I’d expect it to make few mistakes.
