A program connecting vulnerable people with outreach workers at train stations is being credited with reducing antisocial behaviour in Melbourne’s outer south-east.
The Community Connectors program has supported thousands of people with issues like mental health, housing and substance use.
The program is being expanded to the city’s west following a fatal alleged attack on a shopkeeper last month.
