Well, my suggestion for summer is to sigh and say out loud, “Here we go again.”
Make sure you’re prepared for bushfires, this year is going to be bad. Clean your gutters and tidy up leaf litter if you can, and make your emergency plans for escape as well.
In the short term the best thing we can do is bear it, help your neighbours, and do what you can on the climate change front as well. Mid-long term, well, do the same and make better improvements for next summer as well.
Nothing. The voters want this shit, they vote for the parties that promote this shit.

They dont. People often have short term problems on mind (i.e cost of living), which is by definition short sighted of course. There is also an element we havent been massively effected by climate change yet. There hasn’t been one mention of any incomimg famines or mass crop failures in australia. When that happens your average person will finally begin to prioritise climate change above cost of living.
So much fuel in southern australia with all the rain, it’s probably going to be really bad. Start reducing fuel immediately if you haven’t been on top of it because it can be surprising how much there is.
