The bill amends the Fair Work Act to ban non-compete terms for employees whose annualized full-time equivalent earnings are at or below the high income threshold (currently AUD190,100)

Why would something like this have a threshold?
If anything it’s more important for specialised jobs, if you can’t change jobs to a competitor you are stuck with whatever bullshit your current employer throws at you, and specialised roles have a lot fewer alternatives to choose from
Threshold should be at least 5x average full time salary and indexed yearly.
