Effing hell! They seem to want people who are already vulnerable to live in a constant state of fear.
Couldn’t this data be skewed a lot by the former taking in tenants who are in a worse financial situation, or the latter having more reliable systems around payment (e.g. automatically taking rent from pension which means those tenants won’t end up in arrears).
The article pays a bit of lip service to the two cohorts not being the same (claimed to be “similar”) but doesn’t actually provide more information, which is a shame as it is otherwise well researched with plenty of details.
