I don’t understand this part:

If they add Linux drivers, it should work everywhere.
The only scenario where a driver only works with specific distribution is if it’s a proprietary driver for a specific kernel version
And now you understand the Android phone market.
That headline is only a little bit misleading. X1 support for Linux is basically garbage. So if they’re promising X2 support already, I don’t believe them because almost none of the devices that have X1 in them are actually fully functional.
