Tasmania's EPA is worried about the extent of AI data centre company Firmus's planned diesel generator use, saying it is much more than initially disclosed.
Typical of the Rockliff government to get behind this sort of scam.
It really would help if we had candidates that actually had a spine and morals. Even if they do they get targeted by the media for fringe affiliations.
This always comes back around to billionaire backed media and lobbying.
It’s easy to say hey you’re voting wrong when no good options are presented or the media is pushing headlines to scare. Don’t underestimate people’s mindset when they believe something. I’m not saying I have an answer just that blaming the individual tends to have an opposite effect to hoped. They seem to slide further into it.
Greens have a lot of great policies. It’s such a pity that the socialist agenda wasn’t picked up in good times.
I say that but we have to address how much of Australia was sold off for the good times. Same is likely to occur with data centres. I love tassie. Those Forrest areas esp but when you get to the areas overlogged and quarry’s left abandoned really tells a story.
I suspect most would still vote to build 10 if it meant a booming economy again.

We know they have the spine etc as well, there’s enough coverage out there on them and what they’re doing.
It’s squarely on us. I’ve been voting Green for 35 years.
