Please consider this: we have lost more Australian lives because of the war-mongering decisions of our secular democratic empire allies (by a humongous proportion) than because of extreme Islamism targeting Australia. Most Muslims, like most everyone else, want to live in peace and be free of intervention from Judaeo-Christian imperialism.
I don’t think he said we did. His point was about being a target for what we are. The fact that we (Aussies and gov) seem happy to walk into war to get cheap oil goes along the notion of us putting a target on our back.
