The penalties were suspended more than two years ago, with two subsequent reports by the Commonwealth Ombudsman exposing unlawful cancellations and failings in the government’s approach to compensating affected people.

In August 2025, Commonwealth Ombudsman Iain Anderson recommended the government establish a compensation scheme.

A second report in December 2025 found the department’s remediation approach was unfair and unreasonable, warning that stigma against job seekers may also contribute to inadequate oversight of employment service providers.

I’ll say it again: fuck the Labor Party man

They’ve completely turned their backs on the people. They’ve cynically surrounded one necessary change with a heap of cruel, downwards punching policies and have sold us out to the US and Israel. We are pumping cash into the pockets of tech bros including Musk.

In this case, an inquiry was held and they were advised to scrap all this shit. The policy Rishworth wrote is as useless as she is.

This is why people are getting pissed off with politicians. Of course, being the shitcunt cowards a lot of yt Aussie men are, the decent women like Haines and Thorpe cop the brunt of it. Make no mistake though, it’s this continual go lower competition between the majors which is the problem.

Labor and its base, particularly its PR, are as big a threat to our wellbeing as the conservatives are, and it’s clearly visible.

So what’s your TanTruM issue with, not shackling women prisoners during birth or standing up for her people? Standing up for us?

There’s no one in the Labor Party has her spine or integrity.

I support many of the issues she does, but she seems to like attention and the spotlight more than actually improving the issues.

She also seems to be quite ineffective as a senator and takes actions which go against those she claims to campaign for. Her opposition to the voice, for instance, gave racists an opportunity to say it wasn’t wanted by atsi people. Her protest if police at Mardi gras made it seem like the police were the good guys.

            seems to like attention

            No more than the others

            (more) than fixing the issues

Her recent bill on shackling women prisoners, mistreatment of women if you will, would prove otherwise, as would her voting record in the Senate.

            seems to be quite ineffective

Again, her voting record, attendance and work would suggest otherwise. Yes, he opposition to the Voice was disappointing.

            Her protest of police

Is as welcome to me as her stance against Zionism and colonialism, which is to say it’s very much so.

Thorpe is representative of a vibrant Senate and probably one of our best. Despite her letting us down on the referendum on indigenous sovereignty (I voted yes on the first point not the second) she’s done us far more good than harm.
