The Commonwealth Ombudsman found almost 1,000 jobseekers had their payments cancelled over two years under a Centrelink compliance regime.

Following a review, the department is reinstating the framework, allowing Centrelink payment suspensions and penalties to resume.

More than 50,000 people have been invited to apply for compensation over the failure, as advocates question whether enough has been done to address the underlying issues.

Political parties don’t usually start off owned, that comes later with lobbyists and bribes donations. While minority governments can be beneficial, ON for example in the mix isn’t going to help anyone. I don’t know what the fix is, and I think the whole lot is rotten (including media, capitalism). We need a government for the people.

You just said the fix yourself

Vote in a government for the people

Shoebridge’s speech at the press club today nailed it all

Conveniently ignoring the Trumptard wannabes under Gina’s thumb, huh? Theyre a big problem too.

The major parties are most of the reason those arseholes are doing so well.

Don’t start; Labor is actually funding the pedophile coalition.

If I was a Labor voter I’d shut the fuck up because they have no ground to stand on. None.

So due to these slimey pricks trying to save money, trimming from social welfare, which affects some of the more vulnerable communities they now have to pay out compensation from the tax payers pocket. Nice one. Be too hard to just have a welfare system that pays people a liveable amount until they’re employed.

The department has not publicly disclosed its estimated total compensation liability.

Waow, when I was on Centrelink last I had to disclose every red cent of income I had and assets worth to the government but they fuck up trying to cut people off unlawfully and suddenly transparency is a foreign concept.
