While most people who give blood might visit a handful of donation centres in their life, Trevor Bergman has gone above and beyond by donating at every blood bank in the country.

    Saved you a click. He didn’t visit them all in one day, he used it as an excuse to visit everywhere in Australia.

    Donating blood is a pretty good excuse, and I admire his resolve.

      You can only give blood every three months. Plasma every two weeks. So the fastest someone could possibly donate at 85 centres is 170 weeks (over 3 years).

      Trevor Bergman has made 545 blood donations over nearly 40 years. That’s pretty inspirational - I’m like 5% that total; but I’d probably be a lot more diligent about it if my blood were as special as his is. “Mr Bergman is one of about 150 Australians who carry the anti-D antibody”.

      Nothing but respect for this guy.
