I only just found out that we have a carillion, was anyone else completely unaware this existed?

The ministry’s internal report said it might hire a contractor to play it. So they’re going to hire back the same guy but shaft him by giving more per play which is actually shafting him because now he can only work once a year.

Ten million dollars for an instrument we will only hear a few times a year, amazing value for money. And it sounds like they’ve tried to cheap out at every possible opportunity along the way.

They’ll probably try and get someone to play for free.

Just imagine all the ‘exposure’ they’ll get playing for free! Once everyone hears them playing the war memorial bells they’ll be rushed off their feet with bookings to play everyone’s bells.

They’ll probably try and get WCC to pay for the musician.

Because they’re flush with cash right now.
