What can Australia learn from Norway’s approach to taxing resources?
Australia can stop having the mentality of being a colony who only exists to be harvested by the elite.
We need to be a completely independent self determining republic so we are forced to stand on our own two feet and make our own future.
People say “but the monarchy is only a figurehead and has no power”. I think we all know the power of ideas and figureheads after seeing the havoc wreaked by the extremists in the US. Ideas and beliefs shape our aspirations and goals.
And it would be nice to have a Bill of Rights and a fair reporting doctrine to protect us from undue influence .
Not going to happen as long as we keep electing ALP and LNP dipshits.
This’ll never get solved as long as the Conservative/Recalcitrant Coalition continues to give Australia away to foreign corporations for pennies on the dollar.
I voted for Labor last time on the hope they would do something. Nada.
Will be voting more radical next time.
I really hoped Labor with their win would actually be a bit bold with policy, especially around our natural resources, and leave a true legacy, it seems though they are a slightly less shit version of the Libs.
That’s what you can have when your national motto isn’t “she’ll be right, mate”
