I don’t understand. Cars have computer chips in them, they have had for awhile. But what needs to be updated? What part of a vehicle, that affects its ability to drive, needs to have an over the air update?

Update when you take it to a dealer? I mean I guess? The question is the same but at least then it’s just 1-2 a year and updated while it’s in there so if it goes wrong then they are holding the bag.

Uhh… Sorry to tell you this but “we just started dating” and “we live in different timezones” and “we started texting awhile ago” are all flags to me. Do legitimate, meaningful partberships spring from online long distance relationships? Of course, many people meet and grow together this way.

But everything you have said makes me think you and this person are not on the same page.

Please don’t think I’m saying this relationship isn’t going to go anywhere or is meaningless. I am saying you may have to recalibrate your own expectations and understanding of what is happening.

Try not to be too concerned about her not reaching out. Once you are in a dialogue again, maybe ask her straight up what she wants from the relationship (this is not an Inquisition, but it’s information that will help you both) , and share with her what you want. At this point, she could be thinking “this is a weekend thing” and that doesn’t mean she isn’t going to grow into a “will check in a few times a day” thing, it just means that’s where she is at right now.

Tl;Dr you may have different s understanding and expectation about this relationship, and it is in your best interest to stay cool and talk it through.
