Obligatory mention: if you can, try and switch away from GitHub! I highly recommend codeberg, which is based on the self-host able software, Forgejo.

I don’t think they ever removed it. It’s just… there’s hardly anything there. For example, if you go to the port forwarding page, it says you have to use their app.

Actually, it’s not acan, you have to. They removed almost everything from the modems admin page. Even then though, the issue is that my server is connected over MoCA, which doesn’t show up on their port forwarding thing, it has to be directly connected via Ethernet to port forward to it. So I had to physically move the server to the modem, plug it in, and add my port forwards

Ohhh trust me, I know, I still live with my parents and they have no understanding of how vile corporations can be. They simply don’t want to use anything other than the ISP bullshit because they think it’ll be worse, and that the higher price means higher quality. :/

Jesus, this is so atmospheric, it seriously looks straight out of a horror movie/game

I have metube configured to download into a directory that jellyfin watches as a library, organized in folders by the channel name and then prefixed with the publish date. It works so insanely well and it makes it so easy to watch videos with friends.

No way in hell would I make a cli tool that intentionally obfuscates its usage to optimize for a large language model (is that what llm stands for) to accidentally delete my database

It loads fine for me! It seems like it’s just an issue with the commenter’s setup

Hell yeah! Now please get rid of them in all of Washington

This looks seriously amazing, I’m totally gonna host this for myself tonight. And as someone else said, try to move off of GitHub if possible!

I wonder how they’ll make it unavailable in the US.

yt-dlp is great for cli, and if you want a web gui, you can run metube in docker

It does have screen sharing now! The Linux client currently can’t share system audio, but I think they’re working on that

58, my cpu is usually around 10-20% usage. I really don’t have any trouble managing/maintaining these. Things break almost weekly but I understand how to fix them every time, it only takes a few minutes

And there they are!

As others have already said, piefed is much lighter than lemmy, and is what I’m running as well, my instance isn’t necessarily single-user, (anyone’s free to join), but there’s only one other user on my instance

+1 to that. I started hosting it recently and haven’t even had to do anything about maintenance

Lemme guess, aws? Or perhaps, dns?

Wait, isn’t this happen like months ago? Or was that just the announcement, and it’s just now being released as a feature?
Unfortunately I don’t know enough about udp to get it, is it that you dumped the information before like, asking about it?
