So the plug was pulled and that’s the post and comment history gone and start a search for a new instance.

Not entirely true, you can still see post and comment histories on instances that federated with lemm.ee for instance my old lemm.ee account @mathemachristian@lemm.ee

Just make accounts wherever and stick with the one that you like the most tbh. That’s the beauty of the fediverse, the many options can seem daunting but you don’t have to choose one! I have this account to interact with lemmy.ml directly, I have a blahaj account to interact with the wider fediverse while getting transphobes and the worst of the reactionaries filtered I have a hexbear account to interact with hexbear. I like the hexbear community the most, it’s probably the most one that is a community within itself with multiple sub-communities but it’s of course a matter of taste. The most choice you get from lemmy.zip I believe which is the most widely federated one and stays out of drama. There is dbzer0 the more anarchist oriented instance. Lemmy.world is the most reddit one I feel like both in tone and moderation. But just make acounts wherever it doesn’t matter.

No it got taken off quickly when the shit hit the fan, there wasn’t a lot of spray afaict https://lem.lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/45728788

Especially considering it’s this guy

lol the guy shuttered his instance and only links to

This is his at least second dramatic exit from lemmy https://lemmy.zip/post/43721937

Desktop bg thread?

ooh like you can link it and people can click a link across the fediverse while remaining on their home instance. I would really like that as well.

I don’t believe those exist, it would be cool though

I believe that the original id is stored somewhere as well since there is i fediverse icon that takes one to the original. You can probably use that id when searching your db.

I believe the CEO is also a zionist, and the “age verification” thing started rolling out when he took over.

google are heavily involved with the zionist entity, it stands to reason that they are getting blackmailed by whatever epstein’s replacement is.

i am not japanese either so i can’t do that kinda language humor

yeah me neither 😔

Lemmily? I love the drawing btw

Emacs

If they are forking it because of developers being Russian, is that not likely discriminatory?

absolutely but I don’t think that’s what’s going on here? or I don’t see a reason think that, they claim that onlyoffice is infringing on the original agpl license and that’s why they’re forking and from my uninformed perspective it looks valid.

It’s technically xenophobia, russophobia if it’s targeted at russians, but honestly racism is a good enough descriptor for anyone to understand what you’re talking about. The name “euro-office” comes from the companies targeting this product for the european public sector who has finally (much too late imo) started to attempt to liberate itself from the yankee software giants grip. You can see at the bottom of the readme

Is Euro-Office just for Europeans? Isn’t open source without borders?

Open Source is an international movement, and we are definitely open to contributions by anyone, anywhere! All code will be judged on its merits, not on its origin, and receive equal review. And, of course, anyone is welcome to use Euro-Office in line with the provisions in the AGPLv3 license!

ah if you have a hexbear account you can also draft a reply to some comment there and then copy-paste it here. Alternatively you can click on of emojis you see and like and copy the markdown code.

I mean yes, the dems have been breathlessly going on about how that thing that Trump’s doing is illegal but nothing seems to happen. There is no opposition at all
