Dryburgh, Scottish Borders, UK.
These ruins live on the mood boards of thousands of video game map designers.
These and many others throughout the UK, for sure.

Heh, where do you think all the inspiration comes from?
If I had stupid money, I’d find a few of the more forgotten locations like this and stand them back up from the skeleton using as close to the techniques used during original construction as possible.
Question. Why is the grass so… perfect? Do they mow it regularly? Is there someone who maintains these ruins, and it’s more like a public park rather than a truly abandoned site?
Historic Environment Scotland manage access; you have to pay to enter the site. The funds are used to keep the land in check (such as mowing the grass), which ensures that as much as possible these places are accessible to as many people as possible. They also manage conservation of these places too, stop other bits falling over and hurting people etc.
Seems like inspiration for The Talos Principle.
