I don’t know why, but this makes me think of DC row houses, and now I’m Homesick.
You have a cherry tree and it still has fruit on it? The one we had when I was a kid needed bird netting or we end up with no cherries and fat, sometimes drunk birds.
I got new cherry trees. 3rd year no crop. They’re now 8 to 10ft tall. Any idea if they’re getting close enough to give cherries?
I just thought of something, is it on a specific rootstock? Was there a label with the cherries that mentioned it?
Colt rootstock should fruit once around 12-15ft and Gisela around 9.5 - 12ft, so if not this year then hopefully next you’ll start getting some fruits. However, if you’ve got a Malling, Mazard or Maheleb you’ll have a long wait still.

I’ll have to take a look.
I’ve never grown cherries but I grow other things and they tend to love slow release nutrients.
I’m sure they’d be very happy if you give them an inch or two layer of compost around their base, and may reward you with a bountiful harvest next year in return.
No need to dig it in or anything. Nature will do her thing, with worms and such. Just dump and spread around.
year 4 or 5, climate permitting
Most of those are still unripe though.
They’ll know the cherries are ripe when the bluejays descend to eat them all
Mon cheries?
