Crazy how the painting’s Cameron looks more like Alan Ruck than the still frame. To the point that it has me second guessing if that’s a 2nd unit stand-in, and not actually Ruck.

IMO it accentuates Ruck’s slimness, especially a longer neck and narrower face that we don’t get from the photo.

This article is comparing Seurat 's process with that of Caillebotte, who was of the previous generation and hung out with/sponsored Monet and the Impressionists. (They’re not known to have known each other, and Caillebotte was known more as a wealthy collector than as an artist at the time.)
I’m adding it because the Wiki article only tells how the paint was applied but this shows some of the studies and drawings Seurat did in the months beforehand.
And because I think Caillebotte’s different process was also interesting.
