It’s good for the garden or something.
But seriously, here’s hoping it’s not too bad and that everybody stays safe. That weather stuff is damn powerful and scary at times.
It washed all the dead pigeons from under our solar panels into our down spouts.
Looks like I’m going to have a fun time tomorrow on top of 6m ladder, praying that I don’t get H1N1.
Ah damn. How are your solar panels going?
Funnily enough, still adequate. Most of the guano is under the panels, they are still surprisingly clean.
I have gotten up there once and flushed them from the top. I was wearing flat-soled boots, the roof was still very slippery.
I am the least scared-of-falling in my household so I am the poor bugger that has to go up there. I rely on my Brother to hold the ladder, but he gets vertigo just from looking up at me so we can’t clean it as often as it should be cleaned.
The water pressure isn’t great so getting it 8m above the height of the tap is a challenge. Even with a pressure washer, the water doesn’t have much force so the flush takes a while and isn’t very effective.
To compound the dangers, the guano is right above the vege garden so when the gutters overflow, our food would get contaminated. We have to time with a fallow season when we aren’t growing any veges.
