It’s also almost fattening up season! Exercise is going to be reduced and calories increased! She lost a bit of weight from the awful heat this summer but it wasn’t too much and won’t be hard to gain again.

Got her mane and forelock tangled in an absurd amount of burrs. Took over an hour and a bunch of lubricant (horse lotion) to get it all out

She does get so many fairy braids. I always apologize to the fae when brushing out everything and I leave little treats out for them as a peace offering. I’d rather not risk being on their bad side and it brings a lil whimsy to my life. I’m not a firm believer in that sort of thing, but it’s fun to practice little traditions and rituals that are harmless.
A little milk for the wee folk never hurts anything :)
