These kids are really young, I mean where does an eight year old get the idea and motivation to do this? The twelve year old probably egged the others on, but still this is such an intense crime for such young ages
Even a twelve year old would normally not have the means to plan such an attack. Researching how to do it, getting the acid, actually going through with the plan – that sounds suspiciously like someone older planning it and having the children execute the attack because they’ll face more lenient penalties from the law IMO.
When I was 12, I released chlorine gas into my room in the process of trying to make oxidiser for rocket fuel and also did a bunch of other stupid shit that could have maimed or killed me. Don’t underestimate kids.
