Eh, Spotify just reinvented the old model of not paying the musicians. But yeah, scientists have to basically pay and hunt down funding to have the pleasure of having their work benefit the publishers and not themselves. At least musicians can put up merch tables to get a little something to pay the bills. Scientists would do well with merch tables I think.

I actually did read it and I was specifically saying this is about how they were warned BEFORE signing those contracts for the cameras and went ahead anyway, and eventually came to the same conclusions as the concerned citizens that warned them in advance.

So tired of local officials that are so disdainful of protests against their corrupt actions that they’ve willingly and gleefully gone into the ridiculously cartoonish fascism part of capitalism that all the books warned us about. Sorry you don’t like the people who show up to your town halls and city planning meetings, but your job is to listen and if you don’t like it, go be corrupt somewhere else, there’s obviously plenty of options.
