So, I’ll just get straight to the point. I found the idea of being in a relationship with a man/doing stuff with him possibly exciting if I met the right one, but I could never see myself in a long-term relationship with him. I do not feel very much attraction to men either, though some made my heart flutter if I’m close with them.

Now, I have a girlfriend, so I speak in the past tense and only she makes my heart flutter, but would I be bi?? A lot of people seem to be questioning, so I thought “Why not I post about this, too?” Or am I a lesbian? I am certainly not straight.

You’re a person who likes what you like. If I were you I wouldn’t worry too much about labels. Isn’t gender and sexuality a spectrum anyway?

It’s like if one of your parents was black and the other white. Are you black or white? Mixed? Mixed doesn’t really fit a category. Are you gay or bi? Mixed? Same thing.

Invent a word. You’re a les-BI-an, but you gotta emphasize the “BI!”

the same word can have multiple meanings - some people think “lesbian” means only same-sex attraction, other people use it more openly to include bisexuals, etc.

But generally having the ability to be attracted to either sex qualifies as being bisexual, but how you identify is another matter.

I’m bisexual, but I prefer to identify as a lesbian because I have no desire to ever date men, even though I can be attracted to them sexually and romantically.
