It distresses me that the kids don’t really have an appreciation for how utterly evil George W Bush was
It distresses me that the kids don’t really have an appreciation for how utterly evil Ronald W. Reagan was.
I’m sure GWB thanks Donald Trump every day for revising his legacy to “not the worst president in US history.”
Anyone saying that at the time was called an evil crazy asshole and once 9/11 happened the default was to accuse us of supporting terrorism for being against him… it’s been a wild ride and I want off
I think a lot of the world doesnt know either. All we got were the “look at the idiot try and form a complete sentence lol” jokes.
Which is still bad because he sounds properly eloquent compared to what youre working with today.
Adidas is German.
No google, no facebook, no ai on the flag… Good times!
This would have been 2004.
Facebook didn’t exist, Google was still tiny. Apple is on the flag, but it was also still very small, though becoming popular due to the iPod. The old Windows logo and IE logo are on the flag but not Microsoft. And the Compaq logo is there, but not HP.
Amazing what 20 years will do.
It’s funny that most of those corporations are the good ones.
Awww not my sweetest bestest cowpowations 🥺🥺🥺
Hey if one of those corporations haven’t made your life better once I’d be surprised.
Be my guest then, because none of them ever did. And even if they ever helped me anyhow, like Shell gas, I paid them more than it’s worth due to how profits work.
So no, I’m not thankful at all, I’d still pull the lever for the trolley to smash all of their CEOs.
There are a few I don’t recognize (second row, left; third row, second from the left; and both outside edges of the bottom row), but none of them strike me as good companies. Like, I don’t even know what to pick for a good one here, but I would love some good news if I’ve missed something.
I’ll grant you that palantir, alphabet, Facebook, and nvidia are worse in comparison to most of these (it’s hard to call between palantir and shell, for example, but the new tech companies probably win the evil competition with everything here but the oil and gas companies)
Yes and no. The whole point of America lately has been to function like a big tree farm. But instead of trees, we grow corporations. That’s why people who cooperate in this endeavor are rewarded so handsomely, and people who detract are financially discouraged. Help grow the big trees, and you will be rewarded.
Rewarded by surveillance, predatory tactics, less buying power, and layoffs?
