There is no greater treachery than this failure to face up to the climate crisis. How can we now fend off despair?
we need the coal mine to power the new EVs bought every 100 seconds
There’s a Tesla driving around in Brisbane with the number plate ‘COAL FED’. The owner is clearly a keen fan of irony. :)
Minns is a cunt
I had low expectations of him, and yet he has still managed to disappoint me at every turn
He is a criminally corrupt traitor. The whole NSW party is as they chose him.
We’re just a plutocracy masquerading as democracy.
when i asked my MP (Labor) if we would go to war against Canada if the americans asked , he said maybe.
Be fucked we would
The streets would fill with protestors
Mate, how is a Labor MP expected to answer any question definitivly without a focus group test first?
Talk about unreasonable…
The greed in this world is sickening.
Me too, mate. It can be overbearing sometimes. We need to stand together, demand, and vote for a better future.
I agree. I also believe that younger people must get louder and focused on letting the political class know they’ve had enough of the crap that is going to make their future much more difficult (as well as the rest of the world’s). They are too polite, imv.
A short while ago I saw some news from France where High School students are rioting because of the decaying state of their education system and facilities. While I wouldn’t want young people to get so violent here, kids have a right to demand their country’s leaders (especially in a rich country like Australia) stop playing with their lives and that of even younger children for the sake of heartless and ruthless pragmatism.

By supporting the young to find their voice and those of us who are older and are just as disgusted to raise our voices with them against the rot that has overtaken the world order (including here in Australia where we dance to the same tune).
Well, they’re allowing an existing coal mine to continue operating. It’s not good, but it’s not like they’re constructing a whole new coal mine.
Renewables are becoming economically superior, and like it or not the Australian government (at least under Labor) is doing a fair bit to push the country towards renewables at a steady pace. We’re even doing better than New Zealand.
