This short trail can be treacherous heading to its endpoint, which is quite literally falling into the sea. The first half is manageable but fairly steep and then leads to the funkiest stairs set into a hill I’ve ever seen, as the entire hillside has slowly warped. Trail becomes shorter each visit.

The slowly warping hillside near the end of the trail. Pictures do not do justice to just how warped and uneven this staircase set into the hill has become.

A pointed rock jutting up out of the water, with various smaller outcrops also above the waterline.

Bonus-Back at Agate Beach, the early morning light tries to break through the thick clouds. A structure made from driftwood sits in the small stream that leads to the Pacific Ocean. Shows a little more of the actual beach combing area on Agate Beach, which extends indefinitely in the other direction.
